Salary offered:  $72,322.00 per year

Duties:

  1. Analytical studies and computer modeling of multi-story projects with advanced “Etabs”, and “Safe” three dimensional dynamic programs to evaluate optimum design systems and assigned seismic and wind forces for a variety of regular and irregular structures. These studies and modeling alternatives will be based on realization of the most optimum system considering building safety, performance, and construction cost evaluation for economic benefit of the project. 2. Spectrum studies of the various models for conformity within the building code parameters and application of demand forces onto the building component members. These studies shall include the building and foundation interface levels for regular and deep foundation systems. 3. Development of detailed calculations for gravity, wind, and seismic loads with the interface at various levels of the building structure as required for internal company checks and building department review at various jurisdictions. 4. Review of the geotechnical reports for familiarity with soil characteristics, design of foundations and seismic parameters as related to each specific project. 5. Detailed sketch connections of all components of structure for appropriate applied force transfer mechanism and connectivity from roof level to foundation and soil sub level. 6. Production of various plans with framing elements, details, sections, and specifications in Auto Cad and Revit systems. These drawings shall be used for building permit acquisition and construction of projects. 7. Response to plan check comments with permit approval. 8. Discussions with the construction team responsible for building with respect to cost evaluation and possible system alternatives that may be present. 9. Review of cost estimates from general contractor to evaluate and recommend possible alternative detailing systems. 10. Review of various detailed shop drawings depicting component breakdown of elements for connectivity and application at job site. 11. Respond to field questions during project construction due to contractor’s interpretation of drawings and/or errors committed in the field.
